Slide Show?

I can't find where the slide show feature is for people to use (it is enabled). Forum is silent on this. Darrin's demo doesn't show any such link. The new Webmaster's Guide also just mentions it but doesn't tell you where it is or how to use it...other than mentioning a link I don't see anywhere on any pages.

Here stands the chela in the sacred grove, awaiting enlightenment. (thanks)

Go to this page

http://roger.lisaandroger.com/showmedia.ph...;medialinkID=85

and look in the blue bar that runs across the page for the white text that says "Start Slide Show". Click that to start the slide show running.

That's where you can find it, so look on the similar pages on your site.

Roger

Roger, I looked at your page and even watched the slide show, but my pages don't have a blue line reading "Start Slide Show." In my Web site settings, slide show is enabled, but I can find no hint in the Forum, in the Wiki, or in the Webmaster's Guide about how to go about creating one. I want to select certain photos and caption them for a slide show. Can you help me?

What is the URL to your site? (And an ID and password to get in if needed).

If you go to this page

http://www.thehullsofgeorgia.com/getperson...1&tree=Main

and click the first thumbnail for William, you'll see the slide show link appear.

It only appears for people who have more than one photo linked up - it doesn't show up for example on this page

http://www.thehullsofgeorgia.com/showmedia...medialinkID=141

because that family only has 1 photo linked to it.

And it doesn't show up on the main photos page either.

Many thanks, Roger. Maybe this explanation could be added to Help or the Wiki. I never would have guessed. I tried it on my album and it worked, though a little jerkily. I think I didn't wait long enough for the pictures to load. I'll keep trying. Again, thanks, I appreciate your help.

Thanks for the guidance. My memory allowed me to forget this subject until today (Oct 1)...and on search, found my own inquiry here and the answer. Thanks. - Doug

Looking at your Source information you have the photo on the index page in the img folder.

The random photos need to be in the photos folder.

Also the index does not list any random photo code.

What template are you using?
