Hey you all.  I have my site hosted with Simply Hosting.  Where is the php.ini file found?

I don't use Simply Hosting...but to explain...by default you are unlikely to have an php.ini file associated with your account, which basically means you are at the default settings for the hosting company. For example, my website don't have any as I haven't changed any PHP settings across my site.

If you need to change a PHP setting, first look at how you might do that from within the hosting company's control panel...this will then possibly generate a php.ini file. Or, if there is no way to make those changes, you can create one and it only needs to have the changes you want entered in to it....but I would suggest you proceed with caution.

Do some googling to learn a bit more about how the php.ini file works. Here's a couple I found...

https://www.tutorialspoint.com/php/php_ini_configuration.htm

https://www.hostgator.com/help/article/what-is-php-ini

https://support.hostway.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000691244-How-to-create-a-php-ini-file-and-what-it-can-be-used-for-

Note that the last one says the file is created in the big-bin folder....I know with my hosting company, that's not where they end up.
