Gary Brueggeman
First the good news. I put in a Place. Specified the latitude and longitude and I get a map of that Place. I thought it might be nice to have maps identify the location of births, weddings, etc. There are fields for latitude and longitude on Photos also but so far, I can't find a way to see a map associated with the Photo. Am I missing a step?
theKiwi
There is no coding in place currently to be able to see maps that would show pins for the positions set for any Media. Maps currently show on individual pages, cemetery pages, headstone pages and places.Roger

I thought I would see a map, but I don't.See this link: http://www.cragun.com/brian/hearne/showmedia.php?mediaID=22 There is a lat / lon, but no map.As a second question, is there a display of a cemetery map that shows the headstone locations linked within the cemetery? The current display shows only the cemetery location. http://www.cragun.com/brian/hearne/showmap...yID=3&tree=Last question, should I expect a lat/lon encoded gravestone to show up on the pin map of an individual? Or is that displayed only from lat/lon of places for the individual? I can get the burial place to show up, but not the specific gravestone location.http://www.cragun.com/brian/hearne/getpers...=hearnethompsonThank you,Brian
theKiwi
As my note said, there is currently no coding in place to draw a map based on lat and long from any media items. When I said "headstones" above, I guess I was meaning the headstones.php page like this onehttp://roger.lisaandroger.com/headstones.p...unty=&tree=The idea when this was created that some more coding would be done that would allow the pin pointing of an individual headstone with its own pin inside of a cemetery, and that you'd be able to see a map such as this onehttp://roger.lisaandroger.com/headstones.p...shire&tree=which on first loading shows the pin for the cemetery, but as you zoomed it it would switch to showing pins within the actual cemetery. This hasn't been done (yet).A lat/long encoded gravestone won't of itself show up on the individual's map. Their burial place will if you've encoded the place that appears for the burial.Roger
