Upgrade from 15.03 went fine except Admin Media Thumbnails  reports "Cannot install   Mod Settings

with the following:-

line 68: %target admin_thumbnails.php verified
line 83: %location #1 %insert:after not installed
line 115: %location #2 %insert:after not installed
line 203: %location #3 %insert:before not installed
line 219: %location #4 %replace not installed
line 319: %location #5 %trimreplace not installed
line 327: %location #6 %replace not installed
line 337: %target admin_generatethumbs.php verified
line 340: %location #1 %replace not installed

line 415: %location #3 %replace not installed
line 478: %location #4 %insert:after not installed
line 502: %location #5 %insert:after not installed
line 538: %location #6 %replace not installed
line 549: %location #7 %insert:after not installed
line 558: %location #8 %replace not installed
line 569: %location #9 %replace not installed
line 580: %location #10 %replace not installed
line 633: %target admin_genconfig.php verified

line 688: %target admin_updateconfig.php verified
line 691: %location #1 %insert:after not installed
line 699: %location #2 v486 %insert:after Bad target

Way above my abilty to understand what is wrong. All 11 other mods re-installed fine.

I have done the usual of looking for an updated version but nothing found.

Thank in advance for any advice. Joe

I don't use the mod, but if you install this mod Mod Settings Blocks first, it does install and looking at admin:media:thumbnails, the forms look OK.  Many of the author's (Robin Richmond) mods require the settings mod be installed first.

The Mod Settings mod article states:

Mod Settings Blocks is a prerequisite for all mods that use any of its features. As of TNGv15.0.5, that includes these 36 mods:

Admin Branches, Admin Branches Queues, and Admin Branches Show Users,
Admin Cemeteries Search, Admin Cemetery Edit, Cemetery Burials Table, Cemetery Headstones, and Cemetery Map and Images,
Admin Media Search, Admin Media Edit, Admin Media Predefined Search, Admin Media Thumbnails, and Browsemedia Search Form,
Admin Places Geocode, Admin Places Search, Placesearch-More Info, and Placename Format
Admin Languages, Admin Reports Search, and Admin Users-More,
Gedcom Converter, Gedcom Import Mediatype, and Gedcom Import Purge,
Mod Manager Compare, New Account Validation, Count Descendants, and TextPlus Charts
Regroup Person mods: Profile, -Branch Members, -Child2Parent, -Date Place, -Default Thumbnails, -Hide Branches, -Move Media, -No Living Data, and -Sources.

Give it a try.

/var/www/html/mods/mod_settings_blocks_v15.0.0.5 is there but strangely not appearing in list?

Seems strange it is there but not showing!

First silly question, is what you are seeing the ZIP file or the cfg file?

Second silly question, is the file a file or folder?

Third silly question, if a folder is the cfg file in the mod folder as well??

Fourth silly question, if there is a mod_settings_blocks_v15.0.0.5 file, does it have an file extension or not??

Basig these silly questions on your above statement as that seems to imply there is a folder and maybe no cfg file!

Following on from what Rick asks and your screenshot…I just downloaded the mod and unzipped it on my iPad. It contains a cfg file AND a folder. That folder needs to be uploaded to the same location as the cfg file (the wiki page doesn’t say this, but it needs to be to happen) with its name and contents kept as is.

Ok, have figured out your post. You are referring to the Mod Settings Block. Just make sure that you also install the Admin Media Thumbnails mod in the way I described…include the folder in the zip
