pnweeks
I recently upgraded from TNG v14 to v15.0.3 on my local site using MAMP. All appears well except three of the v15 mods I use will not install. They are "Add Person Siblings Row", "Ancestor Map", and "Collapse Family Children". All three show that mod updates are required (see attachment). Is anyone else out there having similar problems with v15.0.3? Thanks for any help you can provide. theKiwi
I will take a look at the Ancestor Map Mod in the next day or two or three... Roger
theKiwi
I've just updated my testing site to TNG 15.0.3 and both Ancestor Map 15.0.0.2 and Ancestor Map 15.0.0.2b install as expected. I'm not sure what the error you show means. What is line 114 of the .cfg file you're using? Roger
tngrlkrz
Peter, All three mods install OK on multiple TNG 15.0.3 systems for me. The mod cfg files are not the problem, unless some lines were corrupted on your site. Each of the errors point to the first Edit Option parameter, and should start with "%parameter:". Not sure, but It is possible the upgrade was not totally complete, possibly leaving some Mod Manager files outdated. I would re-update the TNG root classes folder which contains Mod Manager files. Mod Manager's error contains the %desc tag, but the line nbr is pointing to the %parameter tag. But both tags look OK in the cfg files I downloaded. You could also look at the error log file using the 'prolog mod', if you have it installed.
Ken Roy
Peter, as Ron indicated all 3 mods work correctly. You might be able to use the Analyze TNG Files mod to uninstall the mods that make changes to Personlib.php and Getperson.php and then copy those files from the upgrade or full install folder and then re-install the mods that make changes to those 2 modules. I am currently up in Northern Aroostook County in Maine visiting family and friends and getting ready to go to funeral this morning.
tngrlkrz
4 hours ago, Ken Roy said: Analyze TNG Files mod to uninstall the mods that make changes to Personlib.php and Getperson.php Ken, anything's possible I suppose, but the error involves Mod Mgr pointing to Edit Option parameters in all 3 mods, not any of the code. Ken Roy
I know but the error indicates that the Mod Manager is not finding the terminating parameter for the the %desc which includes Edit Option parameter. So either the previous mod did not clean up or uninstall correctly the 2 files got corrupted somehow so the Mod Manager is not finding the closing for the edit option which is within the %desc in personlib.php and getperson.php Alternatively we need to ask Rick Bisbee to explain what that Mod manager error means. tngrlkrz
Ken, Good point. I didn't factor in the fact Mod Mgr makes changes based on Edit Options and an install/uninstall sequence could have left something amiss. I wonder if Peter tried uninstalling the mods, and refreshing them completely. Ron
pnweeks
Thank you both for your timely responses. I used Ken's suggestion to analyze personlib and getperson. In addition to flagging the three mods I mentioned it also showed that some of my other mods were only partially installed but functioning. I then replaced the classes folder and the problem was resolved after I uninstalled and reinstalled the mods. Now I only have one other mod that wasn't on my original list that won't install, "Public Access Control". See attachment for partial list of issues. It has a v15 mod update by Brett but documentation says it's no longer supported. Any thoughts? Thanks again, Peter
