Session Variables

Two Fold Question:

With the dynamic generation of each page by TNG, is there anyone that can show me a simple php script that would set a session variable to who the current subject (page) a visitor may be viewing?

1. Visitor arrives at your index.php. On Index Page capture ISP / Referring url and any desired ISP info of visitor in session variables.

2.Visitor searches for John Jones. When they visit JJ's page a session varible is created with either JJ's name or JJ's ID, preferably name.

I would also like to know which page the code should go on to set the variable.

Of course, the individual search or subject's session variable would be overwritten on each different page visited.

Any suggestions or leads will be appreciated.
