JMM
TNG 15.0.2 Hello, folks, I have some TNG reports that were created using TNG's Report Writer, and other reports that were created using direct SQL SELECT statements. When I go into phpMyAdmin and select Reports, those reports that were created using TNG's Report Writer have info in the display, criteria & orderby fields. And those reports that were created using direct SQL SELECT statements have info in the sqlselect field. I know absolutely nothing about MySQL, so I'm wondering if there is a way that I can somehow create direct SQL SELECT statements from information in display, criteria & orderby fields. I have a need to use some SQL SELECT statements directly in some of my custom TNG pages, but I have no idea how to convert the above... or if it's even possible. Thank you in advance & have a great day. Regards, John

John Not sure on your meaning but can you obtain the SQL SELECT from the resulting report page after running a report?

Hi, Brett, I thought that I had seen that capability previously over the years, but now that I've been wanting to get that query over the last few days, I didn't see that capability anymore . Well, now that you mention it, I just took another look again & discovered that I am not indeed going senile in my old age . The reason why I had no longer noticed that capability anymore, is because in the last few weeks I've been using Eric Dubois' handy Add Report Test Button mod, and I have come to rely on testing my scripts with his mod's Test Button within reports' pages (Admin >> Reports >> Edit Existing Report) : Since your mention of testing as stated in your reply, I took another look just now & discovered that that capability does indeed still exist, but only outside of each report's edit screen(Admin >> Reports) : Much appreciated for taking the time to reply, and have yourself a splendid evening.
