ebelew
I finally have TNG, Wordpress and a community software all under the same domain. I lock down (require login), through TNG, the TNG side. The WordPress side are the main site pages and the community and the Wordpress can use the same user login. The TNG side cannot. So can I, or how can I, let a user "View Only" a page in the TNG side. Say in a WP blog article I may want to mention an ancestor and then point a link to his tree on TNG side. But that, currently, takes them to the TNG login screen. So is this possible? Eddy
theKiwi
@HeatherFeuer has a WordPress plugin that I think can do what you want it to. Roger
ebelew
I know I could screen capture the tree and put in a Wordpress page but that tree might change and I’d be redoing WP pages.
GOGGS
If you're not going to do too many pages as you described, you can render the TNG page and then "copy" the html and paste into a new static page. GOGGS
Katryne
If it can give you ideas, here is how I manage links between my CMS and my TNG. On my family site home page, I display : - a cloud of 200 names that is updated automatically from the TNG home page (bottom left) - a link to the rss page of my TNG with list of over 130 newest items on my TNG site (top right) : I chose to display it on a new page, because 130+ more links would have slowed down the display of the home page. I was helped to include the cloud of names : in fact, it includes a full div of the TNG in a box. But I manage to include the rss thread on a page by myself (I was very proud of this). Both codes are specific to the CMS I use (not a wordpress) I thought that proposing the 200 most important names of the genealogy site, with links to 200 lists of persons, and the 130 newest datas was rather efficient to make the link between the 2 sites and make visitors want to find out more. Private and living persons are preserved as on the TNG site. https://chauvigne.info/
