omarquet Posted January 12, 2023 Report Share Posted January 12, 2023 Hello to all, I wonder if there is a mod that lists sequentially (chronologically) all events in the life of an individual from his birth to his death, including all the events he was part of (birth and death of children, all kind of events etc) Most online genealogy sites have such a presentation (Ancestry, Myheritage) The Master genealogist had such a presentation and it was extremely helpfull It could be an implementation of the timeline or a new "view" on the personnal information. And the format is not really usefull for research purposes. Other programs, like TMG , or Legacy, provide a full list of all events during the life of a person. Wife or husband divorce and Deat (if they happened during his life span) Like in Ancestry And for each of these events, on one line, expandeable : Event Type; Date ; Place ; Detail; Source ID, Note ID. mntoolboy Posted November 19, 2023 Report Share Posted November 19, 2023 @omarquet, I suggest installing the Timeline Events Library which can be found here: https://tng.lythgoes.net/wiki/index.php/Timeline_Events_Library Make sure you follow the instructions very carefully or it will not show correctly. The necessary code needs to be added to the mytngstyle.css for each template you plan on using. If all goes as it should, it will add over 400 events over the last 10 centuries. As important events happen, you can always add more (I just added the current Israeli/Hamas war earlier today). As an example of what it should look like, look here: Timeline: Albert Charles Bemlott: Coon White Family (ourfamilyroots.org). I'm also looking for a simple, vertical, chronological list of all the events that concern the person, not external events. I've disabled the existing Timeline tab in getperson, as I find it impractical and unclear. It's a display that I personally can't understand, and which confuses me more than it informs me. Geneanet shows indeed a perfect example of a simple chronological list of events in an individual's life. This should be a standard feature of TNG: most genealogy programs offer this, in one way or another.
