Template 21 - Where is this Homepage Search Login coming from

Hi,

i would like to learn a bit more about templates.
I am loving Template 21 but i dont reallt get how that Menubar works.
I understand with tng_icons i get all that menubar with FIND  MEDIA INFO LANGUAGE DROP LIST.

 

But where does the  HOME SEARCH LOGOUT EDIT PROFLE comes from.
Is the a good overwiew of the functions used in templates. I am searching since hours ..comparing different templates .. but couldnt find out.
