GDPR and CCPA Cookie consents

Has anyone using TNG installed the Cookiebot consent banner and widget for the GDPR and CCPA requirements. The scripts need to be added to the HEAD tag and be the 1st script. No obvious place for it to be added in the admin sections so I am guessing that it would need to be added in the topmenu.php

I have come across this Cookiebot thing several times and each time I became a litte more suspicious of it. Well, maybe not really suspicious but at least questioning about a company that requires your email to give its diagnostic unless you give it your email to receive its newsletter...

I am French and a lawyer by trade, so I am pretty aware about GDPR and cookie consent. I am not sure to be concerned by CCPA, since I am not a company and I do not sell anything. I feel very concerned about the privacy of my site visitors.

I am very satisfied with the system set by Darrin and I fully agree with the terms and conditions of the privacy policy it includes. I discussed it with a european friend who is a lawyer too and webmaster as well, and coder. And Darrin gave us authorisation to use on our other sites the terms of the privacy policy he implemented in TNG.

My feelings are somewhat similar to yours and I have several instances of pointing out the security and cookie controls. As their 'free' system only covers up to 100 pages on a website, a TNG installation would require upgrading to their premium plan so it would be expensive with little obvious benefit for a genealogy site.
