csiatst Posted September 26, 2021 Report Share Posted September 26, 2021 Can I suggest that once a back up is created in TNG that there is then a prompt to allow you to down load the files to your own PC. Maybe also to create a GEDCOM of your tree at the same time. I recently had issues with my site and although I had created a back up, I hadn't downloaded it. My ISP broke my site and recovered it from somewhere, and it doesn't work. I was able to access the ".BAK" file, but the files were really old. Luckily I did have a GEDCOM file that wasn't too old, so I have re-created my site on my a local host on my laptop. I will be setting up a local host on my desktop as well. Then when I'm happy, I'll put it back on my ISP's site. Eventually I want to host it on my NAS, but still working on that one.
