When I open my db Maria10 I get the following message:
The configuration file now needs a secret passphrase (blowfish_secret)

Who, what, how?

There are some threads online with solutions https://serverfault.com/questions/615550/phpmyadmin-error-the-configuration-file-now-needs-a-secret-passphrase  and https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25697277/phpmyadmin-secret-passphrase  These would only be helpful if you are running this server yourself.  If this happens on your hosted website and database, you will need to contact them to let them know that you are seeing that message.

Does this also have to do with the fact that if I want to change a place name in the db, this does not work and I get the following error message:
# - Double input xxx for search key

I don't know if this will work now after you're up and running - try going to

localhost/phpMyAdmin/setup

where:

localhost = however you access your local server

phpMyAdmin = the name of the folder that phpMyAdmin is in

setup = folder name.

That should allow you to setup a server configuration, and then create a blowfish_secret string for the server.

Otherwise take a look at this page
