gleehan
There seems to be a limit to the number of records or megabytes that can be backed up in a single table... I get a '505' error when I back up any table of more than 5 mb. Something actually does get backed up... I downloaded the backup file and found many (but not all) records had been posted. (fortunately I have avoided the attractive hazzard of restoring from such files.I have looked for the limit and cannot find it in TNG config, am now going to investigate limits imposed by my site host's database controls... Can anybody give me a head start?
waltreams
I had a similar problem discussed in this threadMy workaround was to use my host's cpanel to make a full backup of my site, download it to my PC, then manipulate it on my LAMP/localhost server
gleehan
Good thot, thanks...Did you ever restore from the backup... or better yet, from a 'manipulated' version of the backup? ...just plain cautious (read terrified) here... waltreams
yes...but only from localhost. I'm a little gun-shy doing anything via my hosting service cause I was locked out of my account for 3 days after exceeding their max queries.I would like to switch to simplyhosting but -->ipowerweb<-- OWNS my URL and won't allow me to move itWalt
