PDF problem

Recommended Posts

I have version 13.0.2 of TNG and have problems with the PDF generator.

When I enter a person, ancestry,  and run PDF, I get the following error message.

Can't open file /home/u964476669/domains/ohnstads.com/public_html/font/unifont/DejaVuSans/DejaVuSans.ttf

Based on the error message, it may seem that the generator is trying to create a PDF in my public_html area. Maybe the error is due to the fact that I recently moved TNG from root to a subfolder.

On your site, delete the entire folder called font

Now get a full new download of TNG 13.0.2** and from that upload the entire new folder called font

That should fix the problem

Note - you should probably upgrade to TNG 13.0.3 - the latest - at the same time

Hi

I have copied the files under folder font, and I have upgraded to version 13.0.3. But the problem is still there.

When I look at the error message, it says that it cannot open file with this path:

Can't open file /home/u964476669/domains/ohnstads.com/public_html/font/unifont/DejaVuSans/DejaVuSans.ttf

But my installation has this path:

 /home/u964476669/domains/ohnstads.com/public_html/TNG/

Tore,

Did you update your Genealogy URL after you moved TNG to a subfolder?

It's probably the rootpath is wrong

Go to the TNG Admin ------> Settings ------> General Settings ------> Paths and Folders

Delete the value that is in the RootPath field and save the changes.

Now go back to Paths and Folders and the correct value will be showing under the empty box.

You can leave it as is, or copy that value and paste it into the box and save again.

I have tried this, but still error message.
Attached are pictures of settings and URL.

Maybe you see some errors in the settings.

Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Is TNG correct as uppercase in the path - i.e. is that what the folder is named  - and not tng? (I'm guessing it is since the suggested rootpath has TNG)

Are the permissions on the font folder and its contents set correctly?

Does any message appear in your site's error_log file when you try to generate a PDF?

Problem solved.

When I was going to check the permissions on the font folder, I looked over the file structure, and found that in connection with the copying of files to the new TNG folder, there had been an error in the font folder.

Once it was fixed, everything was fine.
