Carswell 0 Report post Posted March 16 I've had Google maps for about four years on my site. Yesterday, when looking at individual, pages the map appears briefly then disappearsagain. the message read "This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the javascript console for technical details" I'm not sure what the javascript console is. The API key is installed and is current Screenshot attached
theKiwi 0 Report post Posted March 16 This is almost certainly due to you not have your Google account set up properly with a credit card attached to it for charging. They will almost certainly never charge you, but they need to know that they can if need be. Take a look at this page https://tng.lythgoes.net/wiki/index.php?title=Google_Maps_-_Getting_Started If that's not the problem, then post a URL to a page on your site that shows this problem Roger
Carswell 0 Report post Posted March 17 Thanks very much for your reply and the link. It turned out that the two APIs, Geocoding and Maps Javascript were not enabled, although it had been working up to a few days ago. Payment method was up to date. Bit of a mystery but all sorted now. shajra 0 Report post Posted March 29 I am having the same problem... I have them enabled but I am still getting the same error. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Rob Severijns 0 Report post Posted March 29 Shajra, Has it previously worked? Could you post a link to your website too so we can have a look and see what might be wrong. I guess you did read the Google Maps - Getting Started ? 😉 Rob
shajra 0 Report post Posted March 29 It used to work fine... and I went through the same steps as described on the wiki page. Here is the link to the page with the error: https://www.shajraenasab.com/getperson.php?personID=I1&tree=Ali It shows up for a second and then goes away. theKiwi 0 Report post Posted March 29 Your problem shows up on the browser console. It's described on this page https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error so you know what to do to fix the problem. shajra 0 Report post Posted March 29 Not sure why it's throwing this error because I had set it to this earlier: *.shajraenasab.com/* but just added /getperson.php too
