johnebart
Quite a few family members are asking me how they can save or print relationship reports as Darrin hasn't written any output code for these. Does anyone have a mod or clever solution for this? Generally I just advise people to use Microsoft Snipping tool (or iMac equivalent) and paste into a doc; or I tell them to use the generic print button in TNG and send print to PDF. It is not ideal. Happy to hear other suggestions. John
Katryne
Hello John ! What more do you want than what can be obtained with the print button ? The result either printed or in a pdf seems quite clear and usable to me.
MichaelM
Hi John, since I had problems with printing such results to printer or pdf, I use the workaround like you do.
johnebart
Thanks for your response Katryne. I have same problems as MichaelM. Personally I am comfortable with the workarounds I mentioned I use, but these are not intuitive or easy to explain to all my users. Darrin has prepared output formats for most tab options, but none for relationships one - so the question was asked of me twice already. I guess no one had a mod solution on that yet
johnebart
Based on my Statcounter tracking, The Relationship tab is the third most popular view (after ancestors and descendants). It seems to get used even more than the Family/Family Chart tab, (for which Darrin has a functional PDF with format options). I'm sure a similar enhancement could work for relationships, if well thought through. The on screen chart is lovely.
