Blank page after update

If I choose to edit a record from the public home pages  The following page 'admin_editperson.php?personID=I73&tree=Lat1&cw=1' loads showing all the details. If I make a change and select save & close window the 'admin_updateperson.php' loads but with a blank screen. This has only started to happen today. In fact it seems to happen for any form I update from the public pages.

Sounds like you might have some modules from the previous version of TNG.  The TNG buttons at the bottom of the Edit Person page are

Save + Exit, Save + Close, Cancel, Save + New Parents, and Save + New Spouse

If you are not seeing those buttons at the bottom of the admin_editperson.php you likely did not FTP the TNG v13 module to your hosting service, or your FTP did not replace the existing module

Thanks for the reply Ken. I'm using 12.3. I've just checked the functionality in Microsoft edge & Chrome on another PC and it works as expected. Obviously somethings happened to chrome on this pc so i'll reinstall and update.

It helps if the TNG version being used is identified.  It also helps if you identify the PHP version when reporting problems.

Are you using PHP 7.4 or PHP 8?   TNG 12.3 might not support anything above PHP 7.3  see TNG versions

See Blank Pages for some of the reasons you might get blank pages and actions you can take to fix them

This is the first time you mention that it was not working in Chrome but was working in other browsers.   What is your web site URL?  Are you using https://  if yes, is your Genealogy URL  specified as https:// in the Site Design section of Admin > Setup > General Settings

Chrome is now blocking non secured access (http://) from https:// sites.  If you right-click and open the Edit Person in another tab does it work

Ken,

It works fine everywhere on all other devices & Platforms. It just performing like this on the device I was using in chrome. I can only assume another piece of software has caused  Chrome to act like this on this device. I've switched to another browser so no real issue, just a slight inconvenience.

Thanks for your help.

Steve,

Make sure that your Genealogy URL is set to be https:// in Admin > Setup > General Settings in the Site Design section.  Google is now enforcing what it perceives as a security exposure.

Thank you, Ken.

SiteGround just rolled my site over to an entirely redesigned cP and I am having a one heck of a time learning it all over again. About the only thing constant is my dB. All else is gone as best I can tell (rant)

I stumbled upon SiteGround's Enforce https option which until now I have ignored. So, there the setting was waiting for me to try it out -- which I did and got a blank page. I found your guidance above. Poof...I am set. Regards...

Edit: actually, the Enforce https botched up the TNG setting so I had to un-enforce it.
