link leads nowhere

Hello everybody,
I want to create a page where you only search for the last name. The file (searchsurname.php) is located in the main directory.
On my index page there is a button "Surname Search" on the left. (https://ahnenklein.com)
But this link leads nowhere.
I am using this code:
<! - Start Search button–>
</p> <div class = "mybutton"> <a href="searchsurname.php"> & # 128270; Surname Search </a> </div>
<! - End Search button–>

Where am I making a mistake?
I would be grateful for any help.

I use Template12, TNG 13.0.2

Hi,

The filename "searchsurname.php" isn't part of TNG.

Did you create it yourself? and if so is it in the Public_Html directory?

Kind regards,

Rob

Thank you Rob.
Now I have the problem when I enter the name and click on "Search", the query leads again to nothing.
The script is below ...
And how do I get the multilingual page?

<?php

$nologin = 1;

$cms['tngpath'] = "../";
include( "../tng_begin.php");
if( !$cms['support'] )
    $cms['tngpath'] = "../";

$yourtitle = "Suche Nachnamen";

$yourlink = "/user/searchsurname.php";

$logstring = "\"$yourlink\">$yourtitle";
writelog($logstring);
preparebookmark($logstring);

//$flags['noicons'] = true;

tng_header( $yourtitle, $flags );

?>
<h2 data-zpfieldname="headline">Nachnamen Suchen</h2>
<br>
<div class="latest_news rounded10" style="width:650px">
<br><span class="header">Surname Search</span></p>
<div>
<form method="get" name="searchform" action="search.php">
<label for="mylastname">Enter a Surname</label>
<input type="text" value="" name="mylastname" /autofocus>
<input type="hidden" name="mybool" value="AND" />
<input type="submit" id="search-submit" value="Search" />
</form>
<br/><br/>
Suchen Sie nach Nachnamen Ihrer Vorfahren, einschließlich</br></br>
<ul>
<li>dein Nachname</li>
<li>der Mädchenname deiner Mutter</li>
<li>alle Nachnamen Ihrer Großeltern</li>
<li>alle Ihre Urgroßeltern (Mädchen) Nachnamen usw</li>
</ul>
<br/>Bitte beachten Sie, dass in den Suchergebnissen die Namen lebender Personen <b>NICHT</b> angezeigt werden.
</div>
</div>
</table>
<br>
</script>
<?php
tng_footer( "" );
?>

Hi,

Try:

<div class = "mybutton"> <a href="/surnames.php"> Surname Search </a> </div>

Or to just

<div class = "mybutton"> <a href="/searchform.php"> Surname Search </a> </div>/
