TNG_Mike
I'd really like to make use of the DNA tracking of TNG, perhaps for sharing with close relatives who I've identified on the DNA matching services. There are privacy issues I'll give more thought to. But I have hundreds of DNA matches and the thought of entering each of them manually overwhelms me. Especially since my main database is my home client genealogy software, so I'd like to be able to include DNA data when importing or modifying trees in TNG. I wouldn't mind entering all of my current DNA match data into a spreadsheet, or some other file format, knowing that after doing this once I will have a file that I can maintain going forward and use for importing the information into TNG. Any thoughts on how I might do this? Or any plans for a future enhancement to TNG along these lines?
Samantha Jones
I'm seconding this feature. This would be a must-have to be able to list all of the tests that I manage and the matches of those tests.
Michael T. Jones
I haven’t explored the DNA feature, but I’m thinking you could do a bulk import by importing a spreadsheet csv file into the TNG DNA table through phpmyadmin. Hopefully, someone who as actually done this could offer some specifics.
