Emma 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2020 Hi, I am sending two GEDCOM files to a fellow genealogist, we have mutual family. The first ancestor is different in the two GEDCOM files, but at a point, several persons match. What is needed to do in the import settings in order to merge the two GEDCOMs? There are just 70 persons in the recipient's database and none of them match the persons in the two GEDCOM files. I also want to include the links to media in the GEDCOM files, but I don't know, if I can just send the relevant media to be put in the relevant folders in the recipients database. Maybe it's too complicated? Kind regards Emma
Chris Lloyd 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2020 There are several 3rd party gedcom manipulation programs around - all for PC as far as I know. Genviewer and Gedmatch are a couple. These may do what you want.
