GEDCOM Import

Recommended Posts

I have FTPd my latest GEDCOM and converted it but for some reason cannot import it.

It just 'hangs'.

Never had this problem before.

Anyone got any ideas as I'm out of them?

Where is the GEDCOM file from?

What do you mean by "converted it"?

What version of TNG are you using? Did you recently upgrade your TNG version?

What happens if you just leave it for say 15 minutes - does it show completion?

What happens if you check the box to "Use Old Style Import" at the lower right of the import screen?

Looking at the browser console thingy I can see some sort of '508 loop' looking at cPanel I can see that 'Entry processes' are at 100%. Is this the problem? can something be done about it?

A bit of an update to Richard's problem. He is using TNG 12.0.1.

He has a GEDCOM file from Family Tree Maker. He than uses Robin Richmaond's GEDCOM Convertor Mod. I think the error is during this process.

I have suggested Richard use the latest Mod and try again. If that fails, I said he should contact Robin using the Mod Support Form on Robin's web site.

What is generating the error message about a javascript missing? Is that part of Robin Richmond's convertor, or something else?
