Documents non Image issues

For all File types that are uploaded to have a Default image, for PDF, Microsoft Word, Audio Files 
Generating a thumb nail is pointless and there is no current way to update the thumbnail in mass, when you upload 20+ files.

when dealing with the above documents. there is not an easy way to associate the document to a person, like you can with an image.
on an image you can click the description and go to "/showmedia.php?mediaID=xxx"
for the pdf/word it will take you to the file.
since the showmedia page allows you to link so you can change the description/association from the link "/admin_editmedia.php?mediaID="
put a link to that from the "/showalbum.php" or associated places
