Am I missing something? Should no files be backed up prior to installing the mod? See screen grab below. Also, how do you install the PHP Dom extension if my TNG isn't on my local machine? I assumed that's where I'd find the list of files to back up. This is the page I was looking at. Ken Roy Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 OK, my short term memory is shot. Most ISP should provide the DOM Extension to PHP. I believe I put that requirement for those who install a web server on their own computer. I will update the Files Modified section in the summary so that it is expanded and shows - See TNG Modules Impacted instead of being collapsed By the way, when you upgrade any TNG version, if you download the full install zip file as well, then you have the necessary backup to recover from any problem Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ken Roy Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 I took a quick look and the [Expand] in the Mod Summary section would require a change to the template. I guess the Expand button on the page is not obvious. You must be a lot younger than I am since I do not see what Github would provide. Besides the Licensing agreement for the TNG software might not allow you to publish changes to TNG in that location. I've used github since day one for every project I've ever worked on accept TNG.(excpet I've been manually adding backups of individual files instead of being able to push them to Github). Github can be used for TNG if the repository is private. Github is a version control system and tracks every change you make. Normally I run a server on my local machine, push changes to Github, then push to the host (like Heroku). When things go bad you can recover to a previous version. Can't count how many times it's saved my behind. Lol! I'm a developer but I'm pretty green when it comes to PHP. I've tried installing the Census mod with no success. Ken Roy Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 Can you expand the Status column for the Census Plus International mod by clicking the right arrow and then look for errors, such as Bad Target, Missing source, etcs. Provide the target file name and the line number for the error message. Files do not get copied if the mod is not installed. Ken Roy Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 TNG should have provided an Extension folder. Look at Admin > Setup > General Settings in the Path and Folder section. If you do not have an extension folder, whatever you renamed it to if you renamed it, you should be able to create one here. The file missing (optional) will ignore just means that the Mod Manager will ignore that error because the cp_settings.ing file is either copied or created later.
