getperson.php: Separator between Source ActualText and Comment - SOLVED

Recommended Posts

JPT

Hi,

I would like to have something that makes Source fields ACTUALTEXT and COMMENT somehow different in person view.

For example the comment might be italic, or there may be a line between.

Currently there is no difference on HTML level, else I would have wrote CSS. There is not even a real separator. There is only a <br>-Tag.

Thanks.

Can you post a link to a page that shows where you want this to be?

Or a screen shot where you identify what you want changed?

It should be a one-time effort to modify the citem_settings.php file.  I sent the Bill Herndon, the mod developer, the changes needed to preserve the setting file across TNG upgrades by creating a v12 of the mod by taking advantage of the Mod Manager changes made in TNG 12. I will try sending my v12 of his mod to him again.

Thanks all,

I solved it myself.

was  in personlib.php getCitations()

This is the patch, in case anybody is interested:

         if( $citrow['note'] ) {
-            if( $newstring ) $newstring .= "<br />\n";
+            if( $newstring ) $newstring .= "<br /><i>\n";
             $xarr = checkXNote($citrow['note']);
             $citrow['note'] = insertLinks($xarr[0]);
             $newstring .= nl2br($citrow['note']);
+            $newstring .= '</i>';
         }
