Ken Roy Posted January 18, 2019 Report Share Posted January 18, 2019 When requesting a TNG Wiki Username, you need to: enter the http:// or https:// for your web site URL use an email address that you monitor and not a junk email address or one that requires action for email delivery to that address confirm your email address do NOT use any of the TNG download usernames The MediaWiki software does not resolve URLs that are entered simply as www.sitename or any other form of URL without the http:// or https:// prefix. The http:// or https:// is required for your web site URL to display correctly as a link in your TNG Wiki Username profile Once you submit the TNG Wiki username request, you should receive an email message with a link to confirm your email address. The confirmation request is an automatically generated email so it should be sent as soon as your request is submitted. You MUST confirmed email address for the TNG Wiki software to work correctly in communicating with you. Username requests are NOT approved until your email address is confirmed, so you need to use a valid email address that does NOT require that the user take any action to get white listed or for your email server to accept emails from the TNG Wiki. The TNG Wiki (MediaWiki) software will send you an email very soon after you submit your request. You need to use the link in that email to confirm your email address. Some mail systems will put the email sent by the wiki in your junk or spam folder. If you have not received an email with the confirm email address link, please check your junk or spam folders. Email address must be confirmed for the TNG Wiki to be able to send you emails. Please enter a web site URL not the location where you live. I do not have access to Darrin's database of TNG users so I use the web site address to verify that you have a TNG software licensed.
