What's new and Most Wanted

Recommended Posts

Scott_Pryer

For some reason I cannot cause either What's New or Most Wanted to populate.

I have placed text in both areas in administration tabs.  Also have tried blank, -0- and 30 in settings/misc, What's New Days and Limit.

I know that I am missing something simple.

V12.0  template 9

Thanks

Scott

Can't check as the the URL for your site isn't working.  Have you actually added something like a photo or a document in the last 30 days?

With text added to Admin fields, did you save at bottom of page?

If none of that is the error you may have a permissions issue with read/write.

Sorry, the url is as stated by stores.    https://www.waynepryergenealogy.com/

I have added new items and added a message in the text box for what's new.

What files or folders should I check for permissions?

thanks

Scott

Scott, I can see lots of people and videos and documents in your What's new page. But it was rather long to display. So maybe with a bad connexion and an impatient browser 😋 it might look like empty.

This is a small image from the page Scott - it took about 20 seconds to load so that's something that you should look at improving.

Well that is interesting that it is that slow.   I have added a tremendous amount of data within the 30 days (my what's new days setting).

Testing with 20 days and 10 days shows marked improvement.

I would have to say that our internet speed/bandwidth is good making me think it might just be the volume of data to be gathered on the server.

Thanks everyone for pointing me to the issue.
