Medias on citations

Recommended Posts

I use the new Heredis 2018 Pro (Mac) for my home computer genealogy database and export GEDCOMS for TNG.

I wish to use the new function "citations", especially for using all my birth, death certificate, etc.  but it does not seem to be allowed in TNG.

Here is a part of my gedcom :

2 SOUR @835@
3 NOTE http://www.archivesdepartementales.lenord.fr/?id=viewer&doc=accounts%2Fmnesys_ad59%2Fdatas%2Fir%2FEtat civil%2FFRAD059_MI_A_Z_2011_07_01.xml&page_ref=290818&lot_num=1&img_num=1
3 DATA
3 OBJE @796@
3 PAGE AD 59 - Tourcoing - N, Ta (1899-1899) - 1 Mi EC 599 R 040 - Vue 35/318 - N°1407
3 QUAY 3
3 _QUAL
4 _SOUR O
4 _INFO P
4 _EVID D

Is anyone can explain to me the problem.

Thanks for your help.

(Info drop menu>Sources)

Is there a link and an image there? or reference to image # 796?

No link ...

TNG - 01.png

But in my Gedcom I have this :

0 @796@ OBJE
1 FORM jpg
1 DATE 5 AUG 1899
1 NOTE Acte de naissance/baptême.
1 FILE /../../1-naissances/AN-POTIE Emile Marie Joseph le 5 aout 1899.jpg

TNG does not seem to accept the link with my media for a "Citation" !

What is the solution to keep a media in "Citation" where and how did I need to declare a birth certificate by example for someone ?

How my Gedcom should be to keep this information ?

Thanks for your suggestions

I would guess that your "paths" are not equal in the Gedcom vs TNG

What is your ADMIN settings for the directories of media ?   ADMIN>Setup>Import Settings  > folder          (holding the file  AN-POTIE Emile Marie Joseph le 5 aout 1899.jpg )

where is the folder /1-naissance/ located on your server?

Thanks for your help but there nothing to do with my media path.

I finally get the answer... TNG does not support media linked to citations ! May be in the future, I hope !
