php mail anomaly?

Been up for a while under 11.0.1 and never noticed this before as it was pointed out to me by the hosting admin.  Email is working, but the From: header is being formed as if the email came from bahamas@host.bahamashostingsolutions.com which is NOTHING that I have explicitly setup.

Now, I am NOT using SMTP so, as I understand TNG, it defaults to using php mail.

If true, is the rogue From: string being formed from data is TNG files or mor ethan likley a defualt hiccup in the hostign site's php mail setup?

Thanks,

Pete

It is the default setup of your host for the server you are on.

If it is a shared server, then everyone sharing that server would experience the same thing.

You could ask the host about how to get it to reflect that it came from your domain - they probably need to alter the dns hosting file to give your site an mx record or whatever Is needed.
