rene86
Hello, is there any module to add URL Links to a Link list. I would like to sort all Genealogy Links: historic Photos Gravestoens etc. Basically having one Section called "Genealogy Lists". When this opens there is a dynamic list of all URLs entered, including descriptions, type, etc. thanks!
Merv
Hi, Would the All Media list work for you?... http://test.smcactuary.com/TNG/browsemedia.php Otherwise you could do a custom media type called "Genealogy Lists"
rene86
Merv, I can't open that link. Can you tell me, how I can create a custom media type?
Merv
Hi, It looks like the All Media link has moved to here... http://test.smcactuary.com/browsemedia.php Instruction on adding new media collections is here,,, http://tng.lythgoes.net/wiki/index.php/Media_-_Collections
rene86
All Media would be cool, just replacing the media thumb. I want to have a way to display the following fields: NAME URL Description e.g. take this link: http://www.odessa3.org/ Here I want to add the complete Name plus a short description for my fellow family members to have a place with all valid links. A Dropdown would be cool to choose a type like: addressbooks, church records, grave records, software, etc.

You can also specify the Media Collection in the Media Dropdown list.

Merv
Hi, If those files are staying where they currently are, you can add the URL instead of uploading a file to your TNG site.

rene86
Thank you Ken, that looks pretty much like what I need. However those are html coded and not dynamic right? Thanks Rene
Ken Roy
Rene, Yes, it is an html coded page and not dynamic? Why would it need to be dynamic?
rene86
Hey Ken, well I would love dynamic code, because I would simply import a banch of links that are useful and everybody can help categorize it. You you provide me with the html code for your recources page? thank you!
